Part-Time Substitute Chef:
Spruce Mountain Inn, a residential facility committed to providing a supportive environment for our residents, is seeking a Part-Time/ Substitute Chef to join our dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve dinner for staff and residents, with a focus on variety, nutrition, and accommodating dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen throughout the shift.
- Complete end-of-day cleaning and closing procedures.
- Communicate with Chef regarding kitchen needs, inventory, and feedback.
- Work with Chef to develop menus for the week.
- Work collaboratively with staff and residents to ensure a comfortable and safe environment.
- Help lead guided cooking classes with residents to develop their kitchen skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous commercial kitchen or food service experience.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Compassionate, dependable, and a team player.
- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs, including allergies and special diets.
